Onna Sigillata

90,00

Onna Sigillata, a versatile wavy fountain with undulating steps so that the contents rest on its sides without the weight of the items above affecting those below.

The terra sigillata technique, more than 2,500 years old, was widely used in Roman times but fell into obscurity during the Middle Ages and is still little known today.

This ceramic has a glossy or satin finish, a smooth, impermeable surface, and a refined paste that is highly resistant. Its color varies depending on the firing: orange-red in an oxidizing atmosphere or black in a reducing atmosphere.

Bare terracotta on the outside and inside. Can hold liquids. A more domestic and traditional version, ONNA, is available in three colors.
